Puerto Princesa is the capital city of Palawan Province, a coastal city in the western Philippines. It is being famous by the massive limestone caves and underground river known worldwide, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park after winning as one of the new 7 wonders of nature.

THE BREATHTAKING FONDEADO ISLAND
Officially known as “Fondeado” or popularly called as “Tadyo” among the locals, the island is strategically located in Barangay Babuyan, in the City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It is one of the islands of Honda Bay.
The island of Fondeado lies on a stretch of around 20 hectares of powdery white sand of which a total of 10.7 hectares is for sale. Blessed with crystal blue waters, white sand, sand bar, Fondeado is an ideal place for an island resort.
Fondeado Island is home to lush green coconut and mangrove trees. To date, there are more or less 1,000 coconut trees that enhance the natural beauty of the island even more. The island is also a habitat of Tabon Birds, known as a mound builder and an incubator bird, which makes Fondeado the perfect place for those who want to experience nature at its best.
Fondeado’s crystal blue waters provide haven to various sea species such as “Cuday” (a one type of edible crab), sea urchins, edible seaweeds, and different kinds of sea shells and fishes hence making the island a perfect place for fishing, snorkeling, and other fun water activities.
The Barangay Babuyan is just an hour drive away from the city proper. From there, the island of Fondeado can be reached through boat for about twenty minutes.
The island is located in Puerto Princesa City, a top destination among tourists from all over the world. In fact, the city itself is nicknamed as “the Last Frontier” because of its natural beauty and prestine beaches. The city is also a Hall of Fame Awardee for being the Cleanest and Greenest City in the Philippines.
Island hopping within the nearby islands is possible since Fondeado Island is one of the islands located in the region of Honda Bay. Other islands that can be easily accessed from Fondeado are: Pandan Island, Snake Island, Starfish Island, Pambato Coral Reef, Dos Palmas (home to Dos Palmas Resort, a five-star resort hotel), Senorita Island (breeding site for Grouper fish), Cowrie Island, Bat Island (home to numerous species of bats) among others.
